Course Overview
Security guarding often looks routine on the surface — checking badges, walking a patrol route, monitoring a gate — but the effectiveness of a security function depends entirely on the discipline and judgment guards apply to those seemingly simple tasks. In commercial, industrial, and residential facilities across the Middle East, where security personnel are often the first line of defense against unauthorized access and the first responders to incidents, a solid foundation in administrative security and guarding practice is essential.
This training course is designed to build practical competency in administrative security and guarding duties for personnel assigned to facility protection roles. The course is aligned with ISO 18788: Management System for Private Security Operations and ASIS International security guarding guidelines, which establish the framework for structured, professional private security operations. Participants will learn to apply access control and visitor management procedures, conduct effective patrols, maintain accurate security documentation, and respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies.

Explain the role and responsibilities of a security guard within an administrative security function
Apply access control and visitor management procedures correctly
Conduct effective and consistent patrol duties including observation and reporting
