A confined space entry is only as safe as the attendant watching over it — the hole watch is often the last line of awareness between a routine task and a fatality, responsible for monitoring conditions, tracking entrants, and initiating rescue procedures the moment something goes wrong. In oil and gas, industrial, and construction operations across the Middle East, where confined space entries into tanks, vessels, and excavations are routine, a competent and vigilant hole watch is a non-negotiable control, not a passive formality.


This training course is designed to build practical competency in the hole watch (confined space attendant) role for personnel assigned to monitor and support confined space entries. The course is aligned with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.146: Permit-Required Confined Spaces, which establishes the framework for confined space entry procedures and attendant responsibilities.
